I have travelled in France a great deal lately and have always had a soft spot for the appearance of the original Twingo. I had repeatedly tried to hire one but always got 'upgraded'! The answer therefore was to buy one. I found this one, a 2003 Authentique, in a small garage near the site of an old World War battlefield in The Pas de Calais area. After a lot of trials and tribulations "Tommy" is now registered in U.K. and living in North Devon. Our local Renault dealer has been a great help in obtaining the C of C and parts including a new catalytic converter, mats, mudflaps and left hand dipping headlights. Touch up paint for a few stone chips was more difficult. I eventually had it mixed at Halfords! So far Tommy has performed well returning >50 mpg and turning a few heads in the area.
