Henri Kroeze (The Netherlands) :

Here is Tweety. It started life as a second generation (blue button) Twingo in february '95. Factory option is the Comfort Package, which means in Holland the electric windows, mirrors & remote central door locks.

The dealer ordered her to transform her into a demo vehicle to attrack people into the showroom. To equip Tweety for that job, the dealer went a little nuts over her. They mounted 14" wheels (Corona six spokes, don't now the width, sorry guys) with 185/50 14 tires. Then they lowered her. I've never measured it, but looking at the rear wheels it looks like at least 30 mm. At that point Tweety isn't able to hold more than three persons, and even then the wheels scrape the inside of the wheelwells sometimes. The rear fenders have been modificated to accomodate the wide tires. This modification is not visible from the outside, only when looking into the wheel openings.
The bumpers & mirrors are painted to match the body color. This was done by a professional car painter and a few weeks ago I had the
front bumper repainted again due to a lot of chipping. Costed me US $ 150,- (you can convert that to your own currency). The fog lights in the front bumper are standard Twingo catalog items for the first series of Twingo (mint green, blue and brown button ones). Little bit expensive, but they look nice! The rear is decorated with a nice spoiler, one without the third brake light, also painted yellow (of course!). The dealer also installed a yellow (body color matching) shift knob.

When I first saw this car at the showroom... Man, I gotta have that Twingo!!! But, our own Twingo Twiggy was only one year old at that moment and I just put new wheels & tires under her. And the asking price was a little bit high, to say the least. But I immediately told my dealer that if they ever got her back as a trade in they should call me!

That's what they did in november '96. 'Henri, the YELLOW Twingo is going to be traded in. Are you still interested?' YESSSSSS! To make a long story short, two weeks later we were the proud owners of the YELLOW Twingo which we immediately named Tweety. Guess why!

For a year and a half she was our main form of transportation, but during a job shift earlier this year I got a 'company car', so Tweety is now my wifes car. Btw, the company car is going to be a YELLOW Megane Coupe Monte Carlo of which I'm still awaiting the delivery. In the mean time I'm driving around in a boring Peugeot 106 diesel...

Oh, almost forgot, the stereo. The head unit is from Pioneer, KEH P8200RDS with 6 cd changer. This head unit has yellow illluminated
buttons... Then the music sees a JBL 4 channel amplifier, with a total of 200 watt RMS. Front staging throug JBL 16 cm speakers in the footwells and the 'bass'-ment comes from a 10" subwoofer, Phoenix Gold Sapphire.

Because she has retired now from 'main form of transportation' I'm detailing her as much as possible, such as the newly painted front bumper, painting the wheels and installing new tires, painting the brake calipers (black, I think) etc.

Her current mileage is 74.000 Km.

Ok gals & guys, that's all I can think of at the moment. If you have more questions, feel free to ask me, and I will be glad to answer them.
